Job Summary

Work directly with retail customers to build and productionize data and AI solutions using the Databricks platform. Own end-to-end architecture and design decisions across data engineering, ML/AI integrations, and application development. Deliver production-grade reference architectures and custom implementations, embed with customer teams to understand requirements, and collaborate with Databricks engineering, product, and support to resolve issues and feed product feedback. Travel to customers about 20% of the time.

•Lead customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion with ML/AI integrations.
•Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications, scoping work with engagement managers.
•Guide customers on architecture and design and bootstrap or implement projects that drive Databricks evaluation and adoption.
•Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
•Collaborate with Databricks engineering, project management, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement components and provide product/implementation feedback.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 182,000 - 250,208 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms/analytics, or software engineering.
•Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
•Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with expertise in one.
•Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including Spark runtime internals.
•Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments and working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
