Key Responsibilities

  • •Own complex product areas end-to-end—from discovery and design through implementation, rollout, and iteration—using Node/TypeScript backends, APIs/Auth systems, and React frontends.
  • •Lead architecture and backend/API system design for real-time, high-volume workflows including data contracts and authentication/authorization models.
  • •Author technical design docs and set standards for code quality, testing, performance, and observability to ensure scalable solutions.
  • •Collaborate with Product and Design to translate ambiguous requirements into intuitive, performant experiences and document trade-offs.
  • •Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and feedback; uphold operational excellence via on-call for owned areas.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated Staff-level scope (cross-team technical leadership, strategy, and delivery).
  • •Own products/features end-to-end from discovery through deployment and iteration.
  • •Expertise with TypeScript/Node.js and API development (REST, WebSocket, gRPC) plus strong SQL fundamentals with an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL.
  • •Hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, login/session flows, token storage and refresh) in distributed systems.
  • •Strong product mindset and communication to simplify complexity and connect technical decisions to user and business impact.
