Job Summary

Lead integrated marketing campaigns for OpenAI’s government business, translating technical products and partnership outcomes into clear narratives for public institutions. Build the Government Narrative and a repeatable storytelling engine, drive product release and milestone marketing, shape presence at government-relevant events, and develop segment and mission campaigns. Partner cross-functionally across Global Affairs, Comms, Product, Legal, Policy, regional, and creative teams to execute briefs through approval, launch, and measurement.

•Build a distinct Government Narrative and brand aligned with OpenAI, centered on mission outcomes, public servants, security, and responsible deployment.
•Create a repeatable Government Storytelling Engine to source, prioritize, approve, and refresh customer stories, public use cases, metrics, and quotes across channels.
•Plan marketing for government-relevant product releases and security/compliance milestones, partnerships, projects, and other key moments.
•Define how and when OpenAI shows up at conferences, summits, think tanks, and public events, collaborating with the internal events team.
•Develop segment and mission campaigns and lead partner marketing campaigns; maintain government-focused demo materials and drive cross-functional execution from brief through measurement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 221,000 - 245,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years in integrated marketing, communications, brand storytelling, public affairs, advertising agencies, or a related field, including at least 3 years in an integrated or campaign-focused role.
•Experience working in government or closely with government entities, policymakers, or public-sector partners, including knowledge of government missions, procurement, stakeholders, and communications review processes.
•A track record of building differentiated positioning and credible stories connecting customer needs and product capabilities to mission and public-sector outcomes.
•Proven success leading campaigns, product releases, partnership announcements, events, and security/compliance milestones across digital, social, content, paid media, email, sales enablement, and events.
•Technology fluency translating technical products, demos, security concepts, and emerging technologies for audiences with varying technical knowledge.
