Job Summary

Build and maintain high-availability, mission-critical payment platforms for UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) within a globally distributed engineering model. You’ll contribute in a SAFe-aligned Scrum team, developing backend solutions with Java and Oracle, supporting production reliability, and partnering with onshore teams to deliver features and resolve defects. You’ll also drive continuous improvement through automation, best practices, and quality testing (TDD/BDD).

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver features and improvements within an established Scrum team aligned to SAFe, including sprint planning and execution.
•Collaborate with onshore engineering teams to resolve defects and ensure integration across the delivery lifecycle.
•Design, develop, and maintain solutions across a multi-technology stack.
•Provide production support for critical live systems, ensuring performance, resilience, and adherence to enterprise standards and controls.
•Contribute to engineering best practices, automation, and process enhancements to improve delivery efficiency and quality.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience with Java-based backend development and relational databases (Oracle).
•Experience with the Spring-Boot framework.
•Knowledge of TDD and BDD testing frameworks.
•Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular and JavaScript.
•Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within SAFe.
