Job Summary

Maintain and repair heavy equipment and trucks for the Kansas City metropolitan area. Perform inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, dismantle and rebuild components, and conduct testing to ensure reliable and safe operation. Use precision tools for parts examinations, restore structural components through welding, and maintain accurate time and parts records. Support a safety-first, team environment while mentoring others during shop activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform critical inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Ready Mix Trucks, End Dump Trucks, tractors, trailers, and heavy construction equipment.
•Diagnose complex mechanical issues and deliver effective solutions to improve reliability and performance.
•Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment using advanced tools and techniques.
•Replace and overhaul major components including engines, transmissions, motors, and hydraulic systems.
•Test, operate, and fine-tune equipment for optimal efficiency and safety, including documenting time and parts records.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance is a plus.
•Minimum 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.
•Have basic hand tools and sockets up to 1/2 inch.
•18 years or older and able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
