Job Summary

Work in the pre-sales solution engineering group to help drive security sales by educating customers on infrastructure security offerings. Partner closely with direct and channel sales to support the technical pre-sales process, deliver demos and deep-dive conversations, and run product trials. Collaborate with product management to shape evolving requirements and influence the security product roadmap, while expanding adoption of Akamai’s DDoS mitigation, Security Posture Management, and DNS products.

•Work closely with direct and channel sales to educate customers on Akamai infrastructure security products, including Prolexic.
•Support the technical pre-sales process for field teams and evangelize security solutions and services.

•Engage with customers on demos, deep-dive technical conversations, and product trials to drive security sales.
•Stay nimble and grow as new security products are brought to market.

Key Requirements

•8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent).

•Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers across various levels.
•Self-starter with a passion for learning and embracing new technologies to grow security pre-sales experience.
•Experience consulting with customers on their security strategy.
