Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow laboratory safety procedures while performing routine chemical and metallurgical analysis and reporting.
  • •Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and process equipment.
  • •Review analytical results, investigate discrepancies, and report anomalous results to the lab manager and magnet technology team.
  • •Perform routine and non-routine analysis on chemical, magnetic, and diverse product/process/project/research/environmental samples.
  • •Track and maintain chemical reagent inventory, perform lab housekeeping and routine inspections, and adhere to health, environmental, and safety regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or bachelor degree in chemistry, science, or an electronics-related field.
  • •1–3 years of laboratory work experience.
  • •Knowledge or experience with experimental research and the scientific method.
  • •Experience with laboratory instruments for materials/chemical characterization.
  • •Desired: rare earth element chemical test methods, pulse-field magnetometry, and closed-loop magnetometry (not required).
