Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage grading and underwriting activities across the geographical area, including day-to-day team performance, development, and outputs.
  • •Undertake individual grading and underwriting requests, providing clear rationale for decisions and ensuring appropriate application of internal protocols.
  • •Manage information provision and data management controls, including reliability, local information strategy, and internal reporting/monitoring of team performance.
  • •Oversee underwriting process trees, automated grading model evolution, audits, and monthly quality checks; monitor portfolio and economic risks.
  • •Provide point-of-escalation for high-value/complex limits and manage relationships with region counterparts, including training coordination and KPI achievement.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualifications in business, finance, or related disciplines.
  • •Proven history of successfully managing and executing the role’s responsibilities, including self-driven learning and skill development.
  • •Strong knowledge of underwriting systems, methodologies, and portfolio risk management, including financial statement analysis for credit risk assessment.
  • •Demonstrated people management capability, including managing inter-state teams.
  • •Experience utilising IT tools/platforms/systems and AI technologies to enhance underwriting processes and decision-making.
