Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, develop, validate, and roll out distributed systems and software load balancers supporting Box’s internal and external networking infrastructure.
  • •Own technical solutions end-to-end from ideation and design through delivery, rollout, and impact measurement.
  • •Identify and drive improvements to Box’s network and platform infrastructure to completion.
  • •Mentor junior engineers on the NaaS team and support their technical growth.
  • •Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues that arise.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform/networking engineering.
  • •Hands-on production experience with load balancers (L4/L7), AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • •Strong proficiency with Go, Java, C/C++, or Rust, with the ability to design reliable, observable services.
  • •Track record of delivering technical solutions end-to-end, owning work from design through rollout and impact measurement.
  • •Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical growth of a team.
