Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys, and geomorphological mapping.
  • •Support the design, planning, and procurement of ground investigations.
  • •Supervise ground investigation fieldwork and contribute to geological interpretation.
  • •Prepare interpretative reports and present geotechnical data analysis outputs.
  • •Develop ground models and contribute to ground engineering solutions (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, and earthworks/rock slope stabilisation).

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or higher.
  • •An MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is advantageous.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and competent use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D software is desirable.
  • •Willingness and ability to work towards professional qualifications through the ICE, IOM3 or The Geological Society.
  • •Flexibility to work away from home on sites and occasionally in other offices.
