Key Responsibilities

  • •Play an active role in technical discovery on SA-attached engagements with the Implementation Engineer, assessing telemetry, infrastructure, data volumes, and tooling landscape.
  • •Design end-to-end observability architectures for Observe, including ingestion, pipeline topology, data modeling, enrichment/normalization, alerting, and long-term retention.
  • •Define the implementation approach and architecture blueprint for Implementation Engineering teams to execute against.
  • •Validate proposed configurations, pipelines, and data models meet production-scale requirements before execution begins.
  • •Create clear handoff artifacts (e.g., reference architectures, design decision records, implementation plans, configuration standards) and support go-live architecture reviews and execution blockers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 210,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., solutions architect, staff/principal engineer, observability engineer, or SRE) with a shift from hands-on execution to architecture-level thinking.
  • •Deep expertise in observability platforms and telemetry systems at scale, including data modeling tradeoffs across logs, metrics, and traces.
  • •Strong hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, including instrumentation strategies, collector configuration, exporters, and multi-signal pipeline design.
  • •Ability to design or lead migrations from commercial observability platforms (Splunk, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace) to modern alternatives.
  • •Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerized workloads, and Kubernetes-based environments.
