Key Responsibilities

•Repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment: Fixing, servicing, aligning, setting up, adjusting, and testing machines and equipment operating on mechanical principles.
•Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
•Performing general physical activities including climbing ladders, lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces as required by the job.
•Controlling machines and processes using manual controls or direct physical activity to operate equipment.
•Monitoring processes, material, or surroundings to detect problems and determine when tasks are finished.

Key Requirements

•Must have strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
•Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 lbs, and work in environments requiring physical exertion (climbing ladders, bending, reaching).
•Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings; willingness to interpret manuals and schematics.
•Knowledge of welding and pipe fitting is preferred.
•Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow workers to provide information and ensure safety and quality.
