Job Summary

Build and operate a secure developer platform in Azure, using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps to provision configurable Kubernetes environments. Key Responsibilities

•Build cloud infrastructure as code in Terraform/OpenTofu and design configurable Azure foundations that provision multiple Kubernetes cluster profiles from well-factored code using GitOps; detect drift rather than discovering it.
•Develop and operate platform-as-a-service on Kubernetes, including observability, multi-tenancy, RBAC/governance, FinOps, and security controls such as Pod Security Standards and zero-trust workload mTLS with supply-chain integrity via image signing.
•Create DevOps golden paths for developers’ build/test/release workflows that enforce code quality and security by default, integrating testing, security scanning, SBOM generation, and observability into CI/CD pipelines.
•Provide developer self-service capabilities (identity/access, repositories, namespaces, and cluster resources) so the platform team is not a bottleneck; deliver and document runbooks and golden-path guides.
•Operate the platform at runtime: define and measure SLIs/SLOs, write runbooks, lead incident response, and plan safe lifecycle upgrades (clusters/components) with minimal disruption and no data loss.

Key Requirements

•Several years building platform or DevOps capabilities end to end, delivering production-grade self-service solutions (3–5 years as a useful guide).
•Strong, hands-on Kubernetes production experience, including RBAC and admission control, with ability to diagnose and resolve platform issues under pressure.
•Solid infrastructure-as-code practice with Terraform or OpenTofu and a GitOps delivery approach using FluxCD or Argo CD.
•Working command of CI/CD pipelines and release strategy (e.g., GitLab pipelines or equivalent), plus cloud-native security fundamentals (least privilege, segmentation, secrets, identity, supply-chain integrity).
•Ability to program in Go, Python, or Bash and comfortable operating Linux; operational maturity with SLOs, incident response, and safe production upgrades.
