Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, design, repair, maintain, upgrade, and provide strategic direction for VHF/UHF radio communication systems supporting business objectives.
  • •Manage and maintain a MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus Multi-Site implementation including 9 radio shelters and 22 Motorola SLR repeaters.
  • •Conduct programming, configuration, and firmware updates of two-way radios using Motorola’s Radio Management application suite.
  • •Develop and oversee system standards and documentation, including equipment inventory and as-built drawings and system diagrams for radio systems.
  • •Perform annual tower, antenna, and site maintenance and inspections; travel to remote radio sites and support installations, troubleshooting, and training.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience in the duties described, plus 4+ years in highly technical solid-state circuit design involving audio and radio frequencies (VHF/UHF) and related control/logic/display systems.
  • •Experience with Motorola MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus Multi-Site installations.
  • •Proficiency in testing antenna systems and analyzing test data, including installation, repairs, and alignment of antenna systems.
  • •Ability to read and understand plans/blueprints and communicate effectively with crews, contractors, vendors, and agency personnel.
  • •Possess a General radio Telephone license or equivalent APCO certification.
