Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the execution of new product and technology development projects from concept through commercialisation, meeting schedule, cost, and business objectives.
  • •Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and sustainment of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution assemblies and equipment.
  • •Develop and review engineering designs, 3D models, drawings, product documentation, and manufacturing deliverables using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and PLM tools.
  • •Apply advanced engineering and simulation methods (CFD, thermal, structural, mechanical, seismic) to support product development, optimisation, and validation.
  • •Lead product validation and certification activities, ensuring compliance with applicable CSA, UL, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and other standards while coordinating cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, development, and application of power distribution equipment.
  • •Strong expertise in low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution assemblies and equipment (switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, MCCs, ATS, MV MCCs).
  • •Experience applying advanced engineering tools and simulation methodologies, including CFD, thermal, structural, mechanical, and seismic analysis.
  • •P.Eng. designation (or actively working toward registration) is preferred.
