Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and drive in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling and outdoor work.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors (or customer locations) using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean and operational.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time and follow CarMax Standard Work for home deliveries and appraisal pickups with complete paperwork.

Salary: USD 17.3 - 29.4 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and to climb, bend, and kneel to access and secure vehicles.
  • •Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA qualification requirements, including obtaining a DOT Medical Card before starting.
  • •1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of delivery driving experience (or CarMax experience).
