Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical delivery of highway consultancy services across feasibility, concept, planning, detailed design, and construction stages.
  • •Manage projects to coordinate and ensure compatibility of multi-disciplinary inputs across varying scales and complexities.
  • •Act as a project technical lead and reviewer, supporting others to maximize contributions to project/team goals.
  • •Prepare fee proposals and manage budgets for individual projects, while developing and delivering discrete and overall project solutions.
  • •Lead and manage other staff to deliver design drawings, specifications, standard construction details, bills of quantities, and support tender package preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant highway design knowledge across the full project lifecycle, including experience with road geometry, junctions, active travel, drainage, and road restraint systems.
  • •Demonstrable experience leading one or more design disciplines on projects such as roads, public transport, active travel, and public/private development.
  • •Experience preparing contract documents or supporting contract administration/site supervision using Public Works Contracts.
  • •Ability to use, direct, and check design outputs using Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage and/or PDS.
  • •Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-professional qualification experience, with strong understanding of applicable design codes and CDM Designers Duties.
