Job Summary

Lead the Tampa-based Healthcare Design Mechanical Engineering practice, providing technical leadership and business development to grow WSP’s Property and Buildings portfolio in Florida. Oversee complex healthcare, life sciences, labs and industrial projects from design through construction, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring design excellence, regulatory compliance, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate, review and approve mechanical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with codes, ordinances, and regulations.
•Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers to execute projects, including budgets, hours, and task completion.
•Prepare data visualizations, tables, charts, and technical calculations for analyses and presentations.
•Develop and present technical reports and recommendations addressing design and construction issues.
•Manage client relationships and provide key technical input on pursuits and business development.

Key Requirements

•Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•12+ years of post-education experience in engineering, mechanical, and infrastructure design.
•Licensed Professional Engineer (engineer license) with multi-state preferred.
•Extensive knowledge of mechanical design, particularly in the healthcare industry.
•Strong local network and ability to develop client relationships.
