Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide high-level technical assistance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, and design through construction support for utility-scale substations.
  • •Review electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, one-line diagram development, and substation switchyard layouts.
  • •Develop and review specifications, cost estimates, and construction phasing plans while coordinating with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
  • •Oversee and monitor physical team execution across concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking, technical calculations, compliance documentation, and regulatory/technical analysis.
  • •Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to explain findings, recommendations, and risk mitigation actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design work for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • •Proficiency in substation physical engineering principles, design/build practices, and project-related issues for 12 kV to 345 kV substations.
  • •Extensive substation physical design knowledge plus experience in infrastructure planning, design, and construction across rehabilitation and new design projects.
  • •Ability to apply relevant engineering laws, codes, regulations, and compliance practices, and to perform calculations, inspections, and technical writing.
