Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor, analyze, and advise on global privacy and data protection laws, regulatory developments, and enforcement trends for the e-commerce business.
  • •Review products, features, and initiatives to identify privacy and data protection requirements and guide compliance.
  • •Advise on e-commerce privacy issues across the data lifecycle, including collection, use, sharing, retention, and cross-border transfer of sensitive data.
  • •Assess and advise on third-party and intra-group data sharing arrangements, including vendor onboarding and cross-border transfer contractual provisions.
  • •Support privacy impact reviews, compliance assessments, control implementation, and development of privacy policies, notices, standards, and governance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • •Extensive years of privacy-related legal experience and in-depth knowledge of U.S. privacy and data protection laws.
  • •Experience advising multinational businesses on privacy matters including data collection/use, cross-border transfers, and product/feature counseling.
  • •Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice for business and product teams, with strong communication and judgment.
  • •Preferred: legal experience in both private practice and an in-house role at a multinational business.
