Job Summary

Lead design, configuration, and deployment of application software used for process operations across refineries and petrochemical plants, combining chemical engineering fundamentals with process control to drive optimization and performance. Serve as a key technical interface with Japanese customers, mentor engineers, and guide APC and plant-wide optimization projects using advanced simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead or support the design and configuration of application software used for process operation in refineries, petrochemical plants, pulp & paper mills, and similar process industries.
•Apply strong chemical engineering and process control fundamentals to support design, configuration, and implementation of industrial applications.
•Support or lead process unit design, operation review, and performance improvement activities using engineering analysis and digital tools.
•Lead or provide senior technical support for Advanced Process Control (APC) and plant-wide optimization projects, covering assessment, design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and post-implementation audits.
•Serve as a primary technical interface with customers, including conducting technical discussions, design reviews, and results presentations in Japanese.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Control Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
•5+ years of experience in process engineering, process control, advanced control, process simulation, or application engineering within the process industry.
•Understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, unit operations, and industrial process behavior.
•Experience or exposure to design and configuration of process control systems or industry application software.
•Basic IT knowledge related to industrial applications, systems integration, and software configuration.
