Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and evolve the last-mile data platform for Search, ensuring data quality, freshness, and low latency.
  • •Maintain scalability, resilience, and performance of the platform as data volume, data-model complexity, and traffic grow.
  • •Create clear interfaces and integration layers between data, training, serving components and their consumers.
  • •Develop and operate training, finetuning, and hyperparameter optimization capabilities for classic models and LLMs with reproducibility and efficient resource use.
  • •Drive Search teams’ adoption and developer experience by defining standards, automating workflows, and supporting platform consumers.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in data engineering and data platforms, designing data pipelines and data serving at low latency and scale.
  • •Ability to design architectures and interfaces and collaborate with Software Engineering and Data Science teams to drive platform adoption.
  • •Strong command of modern data ecosystems such as Spark or Flink, Kafka, data lakes/warehouses, and feature stores (or similar).
  • •Solid background in software engineering: backend services, APIs, testing, CI/CD, and observability in distributed systems.
  • •Optional: experience with ML platforms and training/finetuning workflows, including hyperparameter optimization and model lifecycle understanding.
