Job Summary

Plan, design, assess, and support the delivery of bridge and civil structures projects across Western Australia. Perform structural analysis and design for concrete and steel bridges, foundations, bearings, and related components while preparing technical deliverables and documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through concept to detailed design, participate in design reviews and constructability discussions, and provide support during construction via clarifications and site inspections.

•Assist in delivering bridge and structural designs in accordance with AS 5100, Austroads, and MRWA standards.
•Prepare engineering deliverables including design calculations and reports, technical documentation, and construction drawings/specifications.
•Contribute to design development across concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages.
•Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., geotechnical, drainage, road design, construction) and participate in design reviews and constructability/safety-in-design processes.
•Work under guidance of senior engineers and project managers, support stakeholder interactions, and assist during construction through design clarifications and site inspections.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
•Typically 3–7 years’ experience in bridge or heavy civil structural design.
•Experience working in an engineering consultancy environment.

•Working knowledge of structural analysis/design software (e.g. SpaceGass, Strand7, LUSAS, or Midas) and progressing toward Chartered (CPEng).
