Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with supervising, supporting, and training brooder house team members caring for birds in brooding.
  • •Regulate chicken house temperature by adjusting controls, examine birds for illness, and treat birds according to animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Supervise and assist with feeding/watering, walking floors, collecting mortality, and recording bird weight, medications, feed intake, and mortality.
  • •Supervise and assist with cleaning/disinfecting waterers and pens, routine housekeeping, equipment repairs, and hatch-day activities including chick placements and live hauls.
  • •Drive farm/company vehicles to transport eggs and chicks and learn basic computer programs for data collection and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
