Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide P&C leadership and serve as the P&C subject matter expert for fossil generation equipment, including 24x7 emergency support.
  • •Improve and maintain plant protective relaying and metering systems by troubleshooting emergent problems and providing field oversight.
  • •Direct, develop, and support P&C technicians and coordinate 3rd party resources for P&C upgrades and capital improvement projects.
  • •Interface with plant personnel, Engineering, the Power Optimization Center, and vendors/contractors to deliver P&C services across multiple operating regions.
  • •Develop and implement procedures to help generating facilities remain NERC and regional compliant, and provide training/consultation on P&C applications, software, and hardware.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Electrical engineering or related field with 3-5 years of P&C experience, or an associate/technical degree with 7-10 years of P&C experience, or 10-15 years of P&C experience with strong electrical system protection knowledge.
  • •Minimum 2 years of supervision experience preferred; direct, develop, and support a staff of P&C technicians and 3rd party resources.
  • •Must have excellent people skills and be self-motivated.
  • •Proficient with MS Office and relay-related software.
  • •Works with minimal supervision.
