Job Summary

Provide specialized technical leadership for municipal wastewater treatment studies, designs, and infrastructure projects as part of AECOM’s BC Water Team. Independently deliver discipline-specific process design, analysis, and modeling while applying regulations and best practices. Review and produce technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations, perform quality control, and support cost estimates, budgets, and schedules. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to interdisciplinary technical reviews across British Columbia.

•Serve as a technical resource for municipal wastewater treatment studies, designs, and infrastructure projects.
•Independently complete wastewater process design, analysis, and modeling components of projects.
•Apply regulations, guidelines, and best practices to develop compliant treatment solutions.
•Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations; perform quality control on others’ work.
•Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates, and provide input to budgets, schedules, and junior staff mentorship.

Salary: CAD 120,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
•6+ years of related experience in wastewater treatment or closely related fields, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia, or ability to obtain registration within 6 months.
•Master’s or PhD in a related field focused on wastewater treatment.
•Experience supporting municipal wastewater treatment or infrastructure projects, including familiarity with BC/Canadian regulatory frameworks.
