Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake numerical analysis to support studies of dams and reservoirs using specialist software.
  • •Keep up-to-date with developments in regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.
  • •Carry out research and apply theoretical knowledge to new situations to improve project delivery.
  • •Undertake feasibility studies to evaluate alternative solutions including technical performance, health and safety, cost, and environmental benefits.
  • •Prepare designs, drawings, specifications and contracts; write reports and prepare presentations for colleagues, clients and regulators, and join site visits to support dam inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field (e.g., geology, geotechnics, structures).
  • •Master’s degree in the relevant subjects would be an advantage.
  • •Water-related modules or relevant work experience would be an advantage.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical stakeholders, clients, and members of the public.
  • •Ability to structure and prioritize work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and work independently with initiative to deliver high-quality outputs.
