Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead secondary / Protection & Control engineering delivery for EHV/HV/MV substations up to 400kV across transmission, distribution, generation, and asset replacement projects.
  • •Provide technical oversight and approval for deliverables including protection philosophies, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel GA drawings, and AC/DC system design (battery sizing and distribution).
  • •Design and validate substation automation and interfaces including SAS with IEC 61850, SCADA, RTU, and telecom interfaces, plus cause & effect diagrams, interlocking logic, signal lists, and cable schedules.
  • •Review engineering outputs for compliance with client specifications/standards and international standards (IEC, IEEE), ensuring completeness and functional integrity of work packages.
  • •Resolve complex technical issues, coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces (Primary, Civil, Telecom, SCADA), and support engineering documentation, change records, and lessons learned.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree level education in Electrical Engineering.
  • •12+ years extensive experience in substation secondary engineering and interface with other disciplines, preferably in renewable industry.
  • •Proactive, highly motivated approach to meet customer requirements.

  • •Proven track record leading teams and working on multiple projects/proposals to external deadlines.
