Job Summary

Lead end-to-end implementations of the Benchling platform for biotech customers, from rollout planning and requirements/design workshops through configuration, testing, UAT guidance, training, and onboarding. Use your molecular biology and R&D background to understand customer scientific workflows and determine how Benchling best meets business needs. Own project success from kickoff to go-live, build detailed plans to deliver high-quality deployments, and advise customers using Benchling best practices.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Manage initial rollouts for new Benchling customers and expansion projects for new teams or processes.
•Own implementation success from project kickoff to go-live, using project management skills, scientific expertise, and product knowledge.
•Build and execute detailed project plans, coordinating deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality deployments.
•Understand customers’ scientific workflows and determine how Benchling can best meet their business needs.
•Lead requirements and design workshops, perform data modeling and application configuration, develop test plans and guide UAT execution, then train and onboard users.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•MS or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Biological Engineering, or a related field.
•At least 2 years of lab or R&D experience, ideally antibody discovery, strain engineering, or process development.
•Software implementation experience, preferably with a SaaS software company.
•Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with scientists, IT project leads, and executives.
•Ability to travel up to 25% based on customer and project needs.
