Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow a team of GNC engineers in Munich, providing technical direction and mentorship and owning day-to-day people management.
•Set technical strategy and roadmap for GNC efforts at the Munich site in alignment with global leadership and architecture.
•Design and implement flight control algorithms for novel VTOL aircraft alongside the team.
•Review and approve technical designs, requirements, and test plans; author and review software requirements and test cases for GNC software.
•Build and improve simulation models, run trade studies, analyze flight data, and coordinate with flight test, systems engineering, and systems safety on the Flight Control System.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or mentoring a team of engineers, including setting technical direction and developing talent.
•Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, optimization, and classical and modern control theory.
•BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 12 years relevant experience, or MS with at least 8 years, or PhD with at least 6 years.
•Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.
•Comfortable operating hands-on as an individual contributor while also leading a team.
