Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure customer maintenance requests for the assigned ship are understood, qualified, prioritized, handed over to appropriate teams, and processed.
  • •Liaise with customer representatives to ensure maintenance period work packages meet operational effectiveness and safety objectives for the next tasking.
  • •Manage ship maintenance planning by allocating sufficient resources (labour, technical data, equipment, and materials) to meet schedule requirements.
  • •Develop detailed work order schedules and maintenance period work package schedules, focusing on critical path activities and potential problem areas.
  • •Manage urgent defect (URDEF) rectification, including liaising with customer representatives to define and agree URDEF tasking scope.

Key Requirements

  • •Formal qualification in engineering or project management, suitable trade/engineering training and experience, or extensive related industry experience.
  • •Demonstrated safety leadership at a complex industrial site.
  • •Some exposure to administration in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • •Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external customers.
  • •Experience managing planning or execution of production work packages, including ship building/ship repair or similar heavy engineering/civil engineering work.
