Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide tailings services and technical advice on complex tailings issues for clients on mining projects.
  • •Oversee/ manage projects or project tasks, including interpretation of data, analysis, and development of recommendations.
  • •Provide technical direction and mentoring for junior tailings/geotechnical engineers.
  • •Manage and analyze tailings and geotechnical reporting, including design/inspection of mine waste storage facilities and construction supervision.
  • •Provide quality assurance supervision for earthwork and liner installation for tailings dams and associated mine waste infrastructure; provide safety leadership in health & safety.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with 8+ years post-graduation experience in tailings and geotechnical engineering.
  • •Honors MSc in the Geotechnical field (preferred).
  • •Professional registration at GhIE (preferred).
  • •Legislation related to engineering design supporting water use and waste management license applications.
  • •Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Projects, including slope stability and seepage analysis/modelling software.
