Job Summary

Lead and deliver welding engineering efforts for fabrication and marine projects. Develop welding procedures and execution plans, solve complex welding problems, and provide metallurgical guidance. Coordinate with Operations, QC/NDt, and customers to ensure adherence to codes and project requirements while mentoring junior engineers.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Develop the Project Welding Execution Plan that defines the full scope of Weld Procedures required, schedule of qualification, quantity of electrodes and materials required for qualification
•Ensure that proper priorities relevant to project schedules are established and review progress
•Responsible for seeking the review and approval of all Project Weld Procedures through direct and indirect communications with the Customer and Certifying Authority
•Work with the Welding Engineering group and Welding department to execute R&D developments projects/goals identified
•Maintain contacts with technical groups to maintain updates on developments in welding technology

Key Requirements

•MS in Welding; BS Degree (4-year) or IWE or EWE in Welding Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
•5+ years directly related to Welding Engineering, Metallurgy/Materials in Fabrication/Construction Industry
•Welding Inspection qualification preferred
•TQM Education preferred

Experience:5+ yearsOil & gasEnergySubseaMarineManufacturing

Education:Master's in Welding Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
