Key Responsibilities

  • •Organise and prioritise laboratory jobs entering the facility.
  • •Interpret test results and produce and maintain high-quality laboratory test reports.
  • •Program vibration controllers to perform random, sine, and mixed-mode vibration testing.
  • •Carry out electro/mechanical shock testing using a dynamic shaker or traditional mechanical methods.
  • •Support UKAS accreditation to BS EN ISO 17025 by developing procedures and assessing calibrations and measurement uncertainties to maintain accredited test capability.

Key Requirements

  • •Understanding of and experience working to ISO17025 is essential.
  • •At least two years’ experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally in an environmental test facility and development testing.
  • •Knowledge of BS EN 60668 and MIL STD 810 standards is highly desirable.
  • •Educated to a minimum of degree level.
  • •High attention to detail and strong communication skills, especially for accurate report writing.
