Lead and oversee complex nuclear process engineering design across UK projects, guiding multi-disciplinary teams from bid through delivery. Manage process deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, Basis of Design), ensure Safety in Design compliance, support bids, develop project programmes, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality solutions for nuclear decommissioning and energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Review key process engineering deliverables as part of a multidisciplinary team (PFDs, P&ID, Basis of Design, Data Sheets, Calculations) and ensure alignment with project scope.
•Lead all aspects of process design to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
•Ensure process design complies with health and safety standards by applying a Safety in Design approach.
•Develop project programmes and manage workload within the Process Team, coordinating with other disciplines for integrated design.
•Support recruitment, development of the Process Team, and liaison with Delivery Partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.

•Chartered IChemE or equivalent
•10+ years as a Process Engineer in the nuclear design sector
•Experience leading the delivery of process engineering work packages and mentoring other engineers

•Understanding of NEC contracts; ability to support bids and develop delivery schedules; valid UK driving license; ability to meet UK security clearance requirements
