Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement features in Openflow’s control plane and data plane for real-time, bi-directional data movement.
  • •Build and support distributed systems for batch and streaming workloads enabling high-throughput, low-latency pipelines.
  • •Deliver small projects end to end (requirements, design, implementation, testing, rollout) with guidance, and contribute to medium projects.
  • •Operate and support components including monitoring, on-call, incident response, and post-incident reliability improvements.
  • •Apply engineering best practices (clean code, robust testing, observability, security, documentation) and collaborate on technical plans and code reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years building and operating backend or platform services with hands-on distributed systems experience.
  • •Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, systems design) applied to production code.
  • •Practical distributed systems knowledge (concurrency, replication, partitioning, streaming, fault tolerance) for correctness, performance, and operability.
  • •Proficiency in Java (or Scala, Go, or C++) and experience working in large shared codebases.
  • •BS in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent experience shipping distributed systems; cloud-native service experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
