Hands-on Lead Incident Response Consultant guiding FortiGuard IR engagements; lead and mentor analysts, coordinate client communications, leverage FortiEDR and forensics tools to rapidly detect and respond to threats, and develop threat research products and executive-ready reports.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead incident response engagements and mentor junior analysts
•Serve as the primary client contact during investigations, delivering clear technical and executive-level updates
•Continue to focus on process improvements for customer-facing IR services
•Conduct host-based analysis and forensic functions on Windows, Linux, and macOS systems
•Review firewall, web, database, and other log sources to identify evidence and artifacts of malicious activity and leverage FortiEDR for investigations

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field or 10+ years’ experience in incident response and/or forensics
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience interfacing with customers
•Experience with at least one scripting language (Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python, etc) and ability to conduct data mining using YARA, RegEx or similar
•Strong malware analysis capabilities with tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT, Splunk, Redline, Volatility, WireShark, TCPDump; memory forensics and static/dynamic analysis
•Ability to lead IR engagements, mentor junior analysts, deliver clear updates to clients, and develop threat research artifacts; willingness to work nights/weekends as needed
