Job Summary

Support Ameren Illinois business-segment planning by preparing annual budgets, monthly expenditure forecasts, and performance assessments. Produce and review internal financial and operational reports, respond to ad-hoc reporting requests, and provide statistical analysis. Provide financial consultation, compliance, and oversight including real-time funding reallocation (capital and O&M portfolio management), support special projects, and help develop procedures. Interface with Plant Accounting and work with source systems to improve reporting consistency.

•Prepare and submit the annual budget and advise on significant variances between actual and budgeted expenditures.
•Provide monthly expenditure forecasts and analytical/statistical information to support effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
•Produce and review internal financial and operational reports and respond to ad-hoc report requests with statistical analysis.
•Support financial consultation, compliance, and oversight, including real-time funding reallocation (capital and O&M portfolio management).
•Develop procedures for compliance, coordinate work order documentation, and develop monthly accruals while interfacing with Plant Accounting.

Salary: USD 71,100 - 144,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university (required).
•3+ years of relevant accounting experience including accounting, budget preparation, and statistical analysis (required for non-CPA).
•1+ year of relevant accounting experience including accounting, budget preparation, and statistical analysis (required with CPA certification).
•Working knowledge of Word and advanced proficiency in Excel (required).
•Working knowledge of specific Ameren applications (UIP, General Ledger, Power Plant, IMR/OAC, EMPRV, Oracle Systems, Maximo, TRIS, etc.) (preferred).
