Job Summary

Perform physical plant labor to support cement plant operations, including cleaning and prepping work areas, removing debris and waste, and assisting other departments as directed. Follow all plant safety guidelines while handling materials and spills using appropriate tools. Operate mobile equipment such as loaders, bobcats, forklifts, manlifts, and dump trucks, and clean equipment to remove cement buildup. Work in shop and outdoor plant environments with exposure to dust, noise, and weather.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform physical labor for plant cleaning and labor support to other plant departments as directed by the Production Supervisor.
•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
•Clean materials/process spills using tools such as brooms, shovels, and wheelbarrows; carry and handle specified heavy materials.
•Remove cement buildup from equipment using hammers and mallets.
•Operate mobile equipment in the plant, including loader, bobcat, forklift, manlift, and dump truck, and clean using high-pressure fire hose.

Key Requirements

•High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
•Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination).
•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
•Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, climbing equipment, and working within confined spaces.
•Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate extreme heat and cold temperatures.
