Job Summary

Design, manufacture, and test HV cables for HVAC and HVDC projects, with emphasis on cable system design, CYMCAP modeling, IEC standards, and being a cable expert within WSP’s engineering teams in India. Collaborate across multi-discipline projects, prepare technical proposals, and witness third-party cable activities while supporting bid and delivery efforts.

Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Assist leadership in delivering multi-discipline projects and ensure work is completed to contract specifications.
•Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract terms, managing Health & Safety risks and project team responsibilities.
•Develop external and internal client relationships to support project wins and ongoing work.
•Provide technical management coordination of subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team.
•Identify and mitigate technical risks and ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Power preferred).
•5-10 years of relevant experience in HV cable design, manufacture, and testing.
•Extensive experience with HV cables for HVAC and HVDC projects (onshore and offshore desirable).
•Proficiency with CYMCAP cable modeling and understanding IEC cable standards/CIGRE policies.
