Key Responsibilities

  • •Define reference architectures and technical solutions for enterprise and cloud deployments on AMD data center platforms across compute, networking, storage, virtualization, orchestration, and software infrastructure.
  • •Collaborate with customers, OEMs, cloud providers, ISVs, and open-source communities to develop optimized solution designs and provide technical leadership for engagements and proof-of-concepts.
  • •Partner with silicon architecture, software engineering, product management, and ecosystem teams to influence future platform capabilities and product roadmaps.
  • •Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities that strengthen AMD’s data center portfolio.
  • •Develop architectural best practices and deployment guidance, mentoring engineering teams and solution architects while analyzing performance, scalability, and reliability to recommend improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience designing enterprise, cloud, or hyperscale infrastructure solutions and collaborating on large-scale deployments with OEMs, cloud providers, ISVs, and enterprise customers.
  • •Deep understanding of x86 server architecture, virtualization technologies, Linux operating systems, containers, and Kubernetes, plus experience with modern cloud-native and distributed systems architectures.
  • •Strong knowledge of networking, storage, security, and infrastructure automation technologies.
  • •Familiarity with performance engineering, workload characterization, and solution optimization for enterprise applications.
  • •MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with significant industry experience in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or data center technologies.
