Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations in complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria and ensure settlements are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • •Negotiate, draft, review, and finalize settlement-related documents and resolve claimant disputes or appeals.
  • •Manage teams of nurse paralegals and other attorneys to review and assess qualification and categorization of incoming claims.
  • •Oversee settlement implementation and claims administration, including workflow and quality assurance, and perform claims data analysis to monitor values and identify trends.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • •Must be active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of significant and substantive experience practicing law, focused on mass torts in the drug, medical device and/or consumer products areas (including at least 3 years of litigation practice).
  • •Claims resolution experience, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Experience drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating settlement documents and strong contracting principles knowledge.
