Location: Switzerland
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Research & Scientific (R&D)
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Review binding data from SPR and BLI runs through the processing pipeline, deciding deliver/flag/re-run outcomes.
  • •Judge curves using kinetics expertise, including discerning real off-rates vs artifacts and defensible Kd reporting.
  • •Review additional assay data (thermostability, expression, developability, enzyme activity) to contextualize binding results.
  • •Discuss results with customers via walkthroughs and follow-up questions, explaining measurements, confidence, and next steps.
  • •Turn review outcomes into experimental design changes (e.g., rerun parameters, regeneration/orientation, concentration series, or switching between BLI and SPR).

Key Requirements

  • •MSc or PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field, plus 3+ years hands-on binding kinetics experience.
  • •Deep SPR and BLI experience (e.g., Biacore, Carterra, Octet, Gator), including troubleshooting and interpretation of sensorgrams.
  • •Strong curve-fitting judgment (e.g., 1:1 vs bivalent, steady-state vs non-steady-state, handling mass transport and avidity effects).
  • •Proficiency in data analysis with Python or R to pull and fit hundreds of results, identify outliers, and analyze trends.
  • •Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate analysis, querying, and dashboard building.
  • •A self-starter who can prioritize independently and learn quickly as tools and assays evolve.
