Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop PCSM replication features, including continuous change capture with correct resume tokens, ordering, and failure recovery.
  • •Ensure correctness and fault tolerance at scale, handling network drops, primary elections, and restarts without losing or duplicating changes.
  • •Implement sharded cluster support for chunk migrations and balancer activity while keeping targets consistent.
  • •Build/operate CLI and HTTP API components and add metrics and structured logging for operator trust.
  • •Contribute across PBM for consistent backup/restore and point-in-time recovery, including reliable integration with S3-compatible and filesystem storage.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong Go experience in production with concurrency fluency (goroutines, channels, context cancellation, worker pools, backpressure).
  • •Solid grounding in distributed systems and data consistency, including at-least-once vs exactly-once, idempotency, and ordering.
  • •Hands-on MongoDB knowledge: change streams, oplog, resume tokens, replica sets, and sharding.
  • •Comfort building and operating command-line tools and HTTP APIs, with metrics and structured logs.
  • •Experience working in the open with Git/pull requests and effective code review and written communication.
