Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, run, and monitor Okta’s production infrastructure with a security focus.
  • •Respond to production incidents and drive prevention through root-cause learnings.
  • •Triaging and troubleshooting complex production issues to ensure reliability and performance.
  • •Automate manual processes and continuously evolve monitoring tools and platforms.
  • •Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures, including support via an on-call rotation (12x7).

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years architecting and running complex AWS (or other cloud) networking infrastructure resources.
  • •2+ years experience with Chef and Terraform.
  • •Deep Linux fundamentals and strong troubleshooting skills to triage and resolve complex production issues.
  • •Expert-level operational tooling ability using languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, and shell, plus source control.
  • •Strong security background (security tools and practices), including familiarity with PKI and secrets management.
