Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures.
  • •Independently determine required parts and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department to obtain them.
  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, and complete follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Use hand tools, precision instruments, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks to perform minor adjustments and repairs on trailer systems (e.g., brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers).
  • •Complete DOT forms and Repair Orders per company standards, including documenting work with pictures and uploading findings via company device/Karmak application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Ability to independently perform PM and DOT inspections and light repairs in a shop environment.
  • •Participate in and complete all in-company required training and safety training.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card (or ability to complete required DOT physical) and a valid driver’s license.
