Job Summary

Support the Power & Energy Substation Team by providing local technical design and CADD support for electrical substation projects. Collect and analyze site and engineering inputs, generate precise 2D/3D drafting deliverables (plans, models, sections, specifications, and material lists), and assist with verification of calculations, design changes, and contract plan/spec interpretation. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet codes, standards, and review requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze data from physical sites and engineering documents to support drafting and design.
•Use 3D CADD software with engineers to resolve design details and prepare precise drawings.
•Assist with technical design support including geometric dimensioning, tolerances, and quantity calculations for constructable designs.
•Verify calculations and assist with design/change orders and interpretation of contract plans and specifications.
•Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to produce multiple design versions for review and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal requirements.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
