Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and maintain insurance liability and reserve/capital models for Hong Kong and Singapore companies under Risk-Based Capital regulation and IFRS 17.
  • •Develop and maintain financial asset and ALM models for balance sheet projections and economic scenario generators used in valuation.
  • •Further the development of PathWise functionality and support onboarding for companies moving into PathWise.
  • •Provide hands-on training, create training reference materials, identify process shortfalls, and troubleshoot issues during PathWise migrations.
  • •Support client relationship management through consultations and act as a primary contact for select clients, including demonstrations, presentations, and conference participation.

Key Requirements

  • •1-5 years of experience in the life insurance industry in valuation/pricing/hedging roles with financial guarantees embedded in life insurance products.
  • •Knowledge of Singapore and Hong Kong reserves and capital requirements, including products such as Indexed and Variable Annuities and ULSG.
  • •Understanding of financial assets, including derivatives, and familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations.
  • •Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, with Python experience preferred.
  • •Strong communication skills for team and client interactions; membership in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries preferred.
