Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop electrical aspects of Surge Protection Devices (SPD) per approved specifications.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally (electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, test) to apply industry standards, compliance requirements, and integrate electrical with manufacturing processes.
  • •Create and implement engineering repository structures and electrical design SOPs, including verification and validation; support production with DFM, cost optimization, and reliability improvements using DFMEA/DFSS.
  • •Lead product certification planning, validation, and testing, supporting relevant Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).
  • •Drive cost-reduction initiatives using cost trades, design improvements, and VAVE; maintain standards expertise (UL, IEEE, IEC, CSA, DOE), lead technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in electrical product engineering, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years in electrical design and development.
  • •Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •Experience developing products from concept to manufacturing launch.
  • •In-depth knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) techniques.
