Job Summary

Join a leading UK ground engineering team as a Geotechnical Engineer. You’ll deliver projects from desk study and ground investigations through to final design, contributing to rail, highways, energy and development schemes. You’ll mentor junior staff, participate in client reviews, and help develop fee proposals while working in a hybrid Croydon or Aldgate office.

Key Responsibilities

•Delivery of projects with technical quality, budget and programme adherence.
•Provide input to team/client technical review meetings and propose alternative ideas and concepts.
•Maintain high levels of client satisfaction, assist with fee proposals and bids for clients.
•Mentoring of junior staff and supporting their professional development.
•Produce geotechnical analysis and design packages, including reports, drawings, specifications and design reports.

Key Requirements

•BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc and/or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering
•Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) status is desirable, or you have a plan and are on track to achieve this
•Good knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices
•Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design
•Experience in geotechnical design (e.g. earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilisation) with strong analytical skills and some experience in relevant design software (e.g. Slope/W, Wallap)
